Families and members of the community honor fallen military service members at the Gold Star Families Memorial Monument at MacDill Park in downtown Tampa. Mayor Jane Castor and Vice Admiral James Malloy from U.S. Central Command spoke during the ceremony, both recognizing that, for the 20 relatives of the fallen in attendance, every day is Memorial Day.
