Photos: Girls Rock teen band Annarkity performs at St. Pete Pride
Anarkitty is a band comprised of former summer campers from Girls Rock St. Pete, the local branch of an international alliance. They came together quickly and had just 12 hours to prepare when St. Pete Pride organizers invited them to open for Russian feminist group Pussy Riot. Rain interfered with the performance, but the band was invited back the next night to see it through. Members are Alex Archipov, 19, Madelyn Everist, 15, Hannah Phillips, 17 Mia Maze-Ingram, 15 and Mayabella Toback, 18.
