Tampa Bay Beer Week has grown and now spills over into two weeks. This year it begins March 4 and runs through March 13. From tastings and tap takeovers to heavy metal concerts and wood car races, here are dozens of ways to have fun with Tampa Bay Beer Week.
The Ultimate Brew: This year, Tampa Bay brewers combine efforts for a massive collaboration brew. Participating breweries bring a few ounces of their favorite hop to throw in during the brewing process. VIP ticket holders will get to witness the making of this brew. Brew’s Banner Triple Hazy IPA Release: The annual release features Brew’s Banner, a monstrous Triple Hazy IPA. This year’s brew has more than 400 pounds of hops and features Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe hops. 10.2 percent alcohol. No cover (food/drink additional). 6 p.m. March 4. Florida Brewers Guild Craft Beer Festival: Grab your commemorative tasting glass for unlimited samples of Florida craft beers. Food trucks on site. 21 and older only. Brewers’ Ball After Party: Sip Estrella Galicia Premium Lager as well as a lineup of European and local brewery staples.
