The Tampa Bay defenseman recently was rewarded with an eight-year extension.
The forward, coming off his first full season at AHL Syracuse, feels more confident in his progress after finishing the Lightning’s development camp.
It was difficult having to leave the only organization he has known, but the home-grown wing knew his time in Tampa might be coming to an end.
